STAR POWER [1978]

HERC has said it before about other albums but this time he really means it (at least until the next one comes along): Star Power may be his favorite K-tel album EVER based solely on the songs contained within it's two grooves.  He's still got some of them on 45 and he's hoping for a decent score on the K-Tel Scale. Whatever the outcome, HERC is definitely on the prowl for a copy of Star Power.  Eighteen tracks with all but two of them from 1977 and at least one #1 from the Pop, R&B and AC charts.

HERC has a total of four 45s from Star Power - the two pictured above and the two pictured below.  They are all some of his all-time favorite songs and remain in heavy rotation here at The Hideaway.

With one song completely missing the Top 40 and five other songs failing to crossover at all, Star Power fails to break into Top 10 on the K-tel Scale.

In Canada, Star Power was released as a double LP with only 17 songs.  It had only three tracks in common with US edition so below, HERC had has created a playlist of available Spotify tracks.
