The K-Tel Scale? What the deuce?

The K-Tel Scale is a proprietary formula based on peak chart positions of songs across the top 40 spots on up to eight singles charts: Pop, R&B, Rock, Country (COU), Disco/Dance/Club, Adult Contemporary (AC), Cash Box (CB) and, through the Summer of 1981, radio station WLS Weekly Music Surveys (WLS) because that was the station I listened to. Theoretically, the maximum score an album can receive is 43.00.
